Welcome to Tyger Songbird’s Sonata!
I am Tyger Songbird, the Ace of Spades.
I’m a trivia writer who has spent years writing, playing, and hosting trivia online and in person. I am a former teacher who used to be head coordinator of his district’s academic bowl, and I’m a former trivia coach to middle school students.
I am an asexual activist and writer, writing about asexuality for over six years.
I am also aromantic, and I write articles about being aromantic asexual, being black and asexual (hence the Ace of Spades), as well as about LGBTQ+ rights.
I have been featured in multiple publications, such as LGBTQ Nation & QueerAF.
I am working on a book currently about his experiences being black and asexual, expected date 2023!
I am a former teacher, and I have a future series called My Teacher Exodus, detailing why I left education and why many other teachers are leaving as well.
I am also a trivia player. I’ve been playing trivia since middle school, and I’ve played professionally in leagues. I actually have an entire spreadsheet of questions that I’ve made for several years when I was a teacher and lead coordinator for my school district’s Academic Bowl. My dream is to be on Jeopardy! or the Chase, and my dream job is to one day open my own trivia and board game company, where we can make games (especially trivia games).
Tyger Songbird is also a member of The Ace & Aro Advocacy Project (also known as TAAAP), a group dedicated to advocacy for asexual and aromantic rights.
